RIPv2 is the enhanced version of RIPv1 (Routing
Information Protocol). It is a simple distance vector protocol, which
you can use in small networks because it does not use much bandwidth and
it has very little configuration and management time. RIPv2 is the
optimal choice for small networks rather than OSPF, IS-IS, and EIGRP.
